Dr. Maritza Nunez Named Hispanic Female Entrepreneur of the Year

This year, the board of directors at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens honored seven individuals who have excelled in their fields of work. This year, Dr. Maritza Nunez has been awarded with the Hispanic Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the 9th Annual Gala Awards 2011.

 

"Receiving the “Female Entrepreneur of the year” awards the urge I feel everyday to serve my community. It makes me extremely proud to have my work recognized by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens. This recognition strengthens my aspirations, and it gives me the drive to continue working hard for my community each and every day,", says Dr. Nunez.

 

Jorge Nunez Jr. Receives Rising Stars 2011 Award

Jorge Nunez received a Rising Star 2011 award, an award that recognizes the community and business leaders under the age of 40, at the Queens Courier’s third Annual Rising Stars Award and Networking Event held on February 3rd, 2011 at City Field. During this event, New York Mets’ legend Darryl Strawberry was honored with the “Star of Stars” Award.
